"Charming, Felt at Home"
This hotel made my business trip to Innsbruck an absolute delight.
Room: Spacious, simply furnished, large bathroom, good desk space with high speed internet. My room looked towards the Innsbruck airport with the gorgeous snow tipped Alps as a backdrop. There were limited English channels, which is to be expected in Europe.
Service: I can't express how welcoming the front desk and restaurant staff was. By the third day of my trip, the front desk knew me by first name. They'd always greet me whenever I entered or left the hotel. It's quite a change to see such personable staff. The restaurant staff was even more impressive. They memorize how you like your coffee on day one. The minute they see you enter, they begin to prepare it.
Breakfast buffet: Filling, delicious, couldn't ask for anything more.
Location: Within walking distance to all attractions in the heart of the city.
Room rate and charges: My corporate rate was around 80 euro/night with no additional surprise charges.
Workout facilities: The one drawback to this hotel. No workout room or pool.
All in all, Hilton Innsbruck was not the fanciest hotel I've stayed in but certainly the most welcoming for a foreigner. I'd highly recommend.

"A very Hilton Christmas"
Myself, partner and a friend stayed in the Hilton from Christmas Eve until New Years Eve 2005. The hotel was perfect for us as we used it as a base to go snowboarding (for the 1st time) around the various resorts in Innsbruck. We got a room on the 11th floor with fantastic views overlooking the old town and the mountains in the distance. The room was spacious and we had 2 large beds which easily accommodated the 3 of us. The bathroom had a heated floor which was a nice touch. The breakfast was also great with a large selection and freshly squeezed orange juice was made right in front of you. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel was a pleasant 10 min stroll to the centre of the old town (including the Golden Roof etc), with plenty of restaurants along the way. It was also conveniently situated 1 min walk from a large ski/snowboard rental store where we were able to get boots and boards (and buy everything else). The hotel also had a locked ski-room to leave your boots/boards after a hard day on the slopes.
The public ski bus to Axamer Lizum stops right out the front of the hotel which was also very handy. It was about a 40 min ride to the slopes.
All in all we had a great time and would definitley stay at the Hilton again.
