"Nice western style hotel"
Stayed for 4 nights at the end of a trip through Greece and Turkey. The hotel is located in the New City in walking distance to Taksim square and a pleasant walking street. There were good restaurants within walking distance and the entire city via taxi. The location is not the best for visiting the major sights in Istanbul but a short taxi ride took care of that. Peak traffic times should be avoided. The restaurant and bar are overpriced but the views are very nice. The room was comfortable but nothing special. It is what you would expect from an American style hotel chain. There was a major conference going on next door but the staff was successful in minimizing the impact on other guests.

"Really good hotel overall"
We had an excellent stay at this Hilton. The hotel has really nice public spaces and a good terrace overlooking the river and city. -Standard rooms are a good size - ours was at least 35-40m2. Ask for one overlooking the river and you will have a great view. -The rooms are modern inside and all you expect from a Hilton. Bathroom was a good size. Room was serviced several times a day - but you never felt hassled by staff. - Breakfast downstairs was actually really good and included in rate. -Staff were really helpful on tips of where to go and even lent me $50 when my card broke. -Business facilities really good. Wireless across hotel. -Leisure facilities a little old and pool fairly small - hard to do lengths. But gym ok if you need to exercise - my advice go eat great Turkish food and walk around... - Location - 5min walk to Taksim Square and great shopping and food.However, a good 15 minutes cab ride to the historic island - however not much in way of accomodation over that side and we always found it very easy to get a cab and would then spend the day seeing sites - and of course cabs are v cheap.
