"Lovely Hotel"
My Family recently stayed three nights at the Hilton and I was very impressed with the staff, room and the service....This is a very busy
hotel and anything I needed (tour information, cab service or places to eat-out) the staff provided the information. The room was kept clean, water in bath was very hot, air condition worked really well and my room was quiet. I needed extra towels and wash clothes they were delivered within five minutes. If I ever go to London again I would stay at this Hotel.

"Great service - nice stay"
Booked two nights. As a Gold HHonors member, we were upgraded to a relatively large, quiet room. Unfortunately this was a smoking room, so we were changed again to a smaller room on a lower floor.
Check in was quick in the lounge, had a drink and food while we waited for our 2nd room to be ready. Enjoyed the lounge for breakfast and cocktails each night - great, polite service from very efficient staff.
Didn't use the fitness facilities, but the pool always seemed to be swarming with kids and families.
Would definitely stay again, I like the location near Paddington and the HEX.

"Convenient Location-Nice Rooms"
The Hilton Metropole was a great to place to stay. We upgraded from a room with three twins to a room with 2 queens in the west tower. This was a great move. We had a room that was roughly the size of one you would find in the states (very large by European standards) and a great view. The location is great for public transportation and cabs, but the neighborhood wasn't particularly exciting. In short, this is a great base to see the city if you don't mind using the tube and you are looking for a straight forward room with nice amenities and a comfortable bed.

"Nice stay"
We stayed for one night over the Easter weekend. We were only able to book a smoking room as we wanted to share with our children (two queen sized beds). After a long chat with the lady who took the booking and her reassuring us that the room wouldn't be noticed as having been used by smokers, sadly we had to disagree. The room did smell of smoke and some of the furnishings were a little tatty.
On the plus side, the staff were very friendly, we were disappointed that we had to queue for the swimming pool as it was so busy due to the holiday weekend. We ate in the restaurant on the top floor - and can highly recommend it, a little costly but 5* food. Breakfast was very busy and noisy in the dining room but the variety and quality of food was excellent. In the morning we couldn't face the tube so caught a waiting taxi over to Picadilly - which is'nt as far away as you would imagine. We wouldn't go out of our way to stay again but would certainly recommend the hotel.
