"Lovely"
Just spent a weekend at the St Helens Hilton. Had a really nice time, the reception is lovely, all glass and a grand piano with gold lifts and the pool and restaurant off the reception. Despite being pretty close to the dual carriageway we couldnt hear the road at all! The room was spacious, with tv, desk, chair, internet connection, ps1, and hairdryer (not powerful at all). the bathroom was small but with plenty of white fluffy towels, and posh lookin shampoo bottles. We had a free dinner included on our first night and we wenrt expecting what we got. We had a three course al acarte menu to choose from and it was fabulous. whole meal including drinks would have cost only £18 each. the breakfasts were great full english and you could have as much as you wanted. The pool although small was nice with a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. They gave you big towels to use aswell. Only problem we encouted was the other guests from a party who started shouting at 2 in the morning in the corridor outside of our roomand setting off fire alarms. Staff really friendly and couldnt help you enough. Wouldn't stay again as there is not much in St Helens but the hotel would be my choice if i had to go again.
