"Location, Location, Location"
Stayed here in December 2006. What a great location. Check-in service was fast, friendly and efficient. Rooms were sound-proof and quiet. Room was okay. Nothing special, but was clean and very large (by New York City Standards.) I would stay here again. Paid Over $500.00 per night once taxes were added. It was worth it for the location alone. Nightly turndown service was nice. All associates from bell staff, front desk and housekeeping were friendly and either acknowledged you or smiled when they passed by you. Guest room was worn, scratches on wall, carpet worn, artwork on walls faded. Because it was clean- I would still recommend this hotel.

"Great location, wonderful service!"
Stayed here for one night following a move from previous hotel. Great location, we stayed on the 30th floor facing Empire State which was great. Room was lovely and comfortable, staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. Especially in transporting our 85kg of luggage! When returning to New York we will definitely be staying here again :o) |

"Exceeded expectations"
Travelled to NYC for my daughter's 16th birthday gift in March '06. We spent 2 nights--a Friday and a Saturday night.
Pros: Great staff--we all felt very attended to from the moment we arrived until our departure. Doormen, concierge, hotel check-in, housekeeping, restaurant staff--everyone was great. Frankly, that is why I really like this place. The staff is the hotel's greatest asset in my opinion. They sent my daughter a nice birthday gift--a card and wonderful fruit platter-for us all to enjoy upon our arrival.
Location is in the heart of 42nd street--noisy outside as one might expect... but inside the hotel, it's calm, quiet and peaceful. Easy walking distance for my family to lots of theaters, shopping, Rockefeller Center, Penn Station, etc.
Clean rooms; comfortable beds; ironing board and safe in room; TV worked well; great PAX market across the street w/ reasonably priced items (muffins, sandwiches, pizza, etc.)
Cons: Rooms are average size; the hotel restaurant is pricey so don't be surprised, BUT the food is good. We had breakfast and dinner 2x each.
Bottom line: It's a 3 star hotel which does an EXCELLENT job w/ the basics. In NYC, you can spend $$$ and still not get the basics covered. YES!! I will stay here again.

"Excellent All Round"
I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It was in a prime location just around the corner from Times Square on 42nd St., they let us check in an hour early, the room was large and spotless with a great view of Manhattan and all of the staff were polite and courteous.
There is one minor thing to look out for, and it is so minor that I'm almost embarrassed to mention it. The hotel offers you the facility to play your Ipod in your room but once you get there it's a really small bedside alarm clock and once you plug your ipod into it you can barely hear it. As far as I'm concerned, if that's the only complaint I've got about a hotel then I've done really well!
