"Excellent Value" My family and I booked this place in exchange for Hilton points - just 10,000 per night! Very clean, nice room (huge). The shuttle is fine - just plan your day, and tell the front desk one day in advance when you intend to leave. They make an excellent breakfast - cereals, eggs, omelettes and waffles to order - lots of food. The staff was very kind to us, and could not do enough for us. The 7th floor has a small whirlpool, so you may want to bring swimwear. It's a nice way to unwind after a day of sightseeing in Vienna.

"Great hotel, friendly staff" This is a conference hotel that is quite far from Vienna's attractions so avoid this hotel if you are a tourist. There is a tram (about five minutes walk) that goes to the city centre and the hotel has a shuttle service to the other Hilton in Vienna. The hotel is great if you need to be in this part of town though. Large, clean rooms (many of them with great views of the Danube). The staff were competent and friendly. The restaurant was good for breakfast and lunch. The conference facilities including the business centre were also good.

"Lovely View of the Danube" My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Hilton Vienna Danube and our experience was wonderful. Our room was on the 7th floor with a lovely view of the Danube. We were able to open the middle pane of our large picture window and there were several nights that we slept with the window open. The hotel corridors and rooms were very quiet and we had no disturbances. Off course, this might be because we were there during the off-season (early October). The beds were the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. Our room and bathroom were very large, with plenty of closet space and a personal safe. We had a complimentary breakfast each morning at the ground floor restaurant, but I believe that was because we were with a tour group (Trafalgar). My only disappointment was the hotel was not close to the Vienna City Center, but that was the trade off for being able to stay on the Danube. This problem was remedied, however, with the complimentary shuttle that the Hilton Danube runs between its premises and the Hilton Vienna City hotel. The shuttle runs at the top of every hour and reservations must be made ahead of time (at the Hilton Danube and the Hilton City). The main station for the Vienna subway is directly across the street from the Hilton City hotel – very convenient and we were able to reach many main tourist attractions with the subway, including Schloss Schonbrunn. Everyone spoke relatively good English and we really did not experience any language barriers (my husband speaks enough German to get by). Staff at both Hiltons helped us out tremendously with directions and restaurant reservations.
