"Choose this hotel if you go to Wien"
We stayed at the Mercure City in Hollandstras., and it was a very good experience. We recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Wien. Just cross the bridge and Donau and you´re in the centre of Wien - Just cross the bridge and you can choose the trains or U-bahn to travel around the city. The staff - very kind and helpful people. The rooms have a nice size and are clean and comfortable to stay in. The beds are maybe a bit hard, but we could live with it. The only disadvantage of our room was the fact that the elevator was our neighbour. The restaurant is extremely nice; friendly and smiling employees, and we´ve never had such a wonderful breakfast - you should really try it ! An overall great experience.

Mecure city was a nice hotel! The room was ok and clean, and the bed was big enough for 2 persons to sleep. The hotel is situated just 10 minutes walk to Stephansdom, so you wont need to use public transportations to visit the Ring (20 minutes walk to Karlskirche 25 to Votev). The breakfast was ok also, and had variety of choices. The personel always polite and helpful. Mecure city is a good choice for someone who looks for a descent and clean hotel close to the center of Wienna.

"Vienna Spring"
My wife and I have just enjoyed a 4 night city break at the end of March at this Hotel . Booked via Airmiles and got avery good rate. The hotel is located just across the canal from the airport bus terminus ( every 30 mins ) 5mins walk. Hotel room was clean quite new, but a bit small and lacking in drawer space.Single Duvets on double bed. Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide choice. No problem queing as there is an overflow room.The reception staff were excellent, spoke good english, and were able to give good help and advice .They will book theatres,recommend restaurants and you can buy the Vienna card at the hotel .Good value for a 72 hour stay. There is a small bar next to reception but seating is limited. Use the Underground and trams to get around . No1&2 tram goes around the city ( stop across the bridge from hotel) drop off at the main sites and then walk.Beautiful buildings , elegant coffee houses,fascinating museums .If your Vienna card doesn't get you in cheap .Students & over 60s do. eg parliament.
