"Very nice and helpful staff"
This Hotel is loceated in a quiet side road very close to the roundabout Schumann and the EU office buildings. But using the metro - the station is just a three minute walk away from the hotel - you can get into the city centre within some 15 minutes. My room (king size bed for single use) was of average size with all the amenities you expect from a 4 star hotel. However, I got a rate at 65 EUR including braekfast on the hotel´s webwage. So, obviously wehen there are not that many meetings with the EU institutions you can get a bargain. But the real asset of the hotel is the very nice and helpful staff. When I had to wait for my lost bag they did not hesitate to allow me to stay in the room until 2 pm (normal check-out time is 11 am). I am pretty sure I will stay at the hotel again when coming back to Brussels.

"Lovely hotel, nice staff"
The hotel is nicely located and virtually all of Brussels is within easy reach either by public transport or by car. The room was tastefully furnished and kept clean throughout the stay, while the staff was nice, helpful and eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible (which they succeeded with). Definitely will stay there again next time I'm in Brussels. (A tip: there are some nice cafes around serving lovely breakfast, so you can skip the rather overpriced one at the hotel)

"Fell in love with Brussels, thanks to hotel."
I have to admit I chose this hotel just for their special rate. The day of booking online they offered me 38EUR/day advanced payment. Pretty good deal wasn't? Perhaps bureaucrats are out of offices in August and prices going down. The funny thing, me with girlfriend seemed to be the only young couple in the hotel among German seniors. The hotel is situated in extremely quite street although I had troubles finding it. The area is safe even at night, regarding many political institutions nearby. Metro - less than 5 minutes walk. Our Room #408 was very clean, spacious and well decorated. The staff was friendly and polite. But the most amazing surprise was the mattress. That bed was one of the best I ever slept in. It's a pity I forgot the brand. Finally I should say, this hotel has a very relaxing and noncommittal atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel for romantic couples and people seeking calm and quiet place. The only thing to keep in mind there are only a couple cafes close enough to have breakfast outside hotel. Nearest food store is also 1.5km walk.

"surpricingly good"
I did not have big expectations for Bruxelles or the hotel. Boy, was I proved wrong. Bruxelles is a wonderful place, people friendly and welcoming and the city itself beautiful. The hotel is not in the centre (location in EU-district)- but with very easy connetion to the citycentre. Staff was very friendly, wonderful terrasse, rooms comfortable and clean. If you dont mind a hotel in a quite location I most certainly recommend the Brussels Schumann.
