The Holiday Inn Express Hotel Morelia is located approximately 25 km from Morelia airport. There is plenty of things to do and see near the hotel such as: Acueducto Arches, Arches Zoo, Las Tarascas Fountain, Museo del Estado, Soccer Football Stadium, Palacio del Arte, Morelos Regional Museum, shopping mall Las Americas, Casa de las Artesanias, Quiroga Handcrafts, Capula Handcrafts.
In the center of the city, this French influence was observed in the garland ornamental details and other decorative motives while the interior of El Templo de San Francisco reflects a neo-baroque fashion that combines the inseparable architecture and sculpture typical of the Rococo with the colorful plaster-work. Along the walkway La Calzada and the Paseo de San Pedro there are houses with neo-gothic details, meaning they are of the French style.
In the 19th century Morelia's isolation ended. The arrival of the railroad, telegraph and telephones to the area transformed the city in many ways. A preoccupation for hygiene included the installation of a water filtration system, street paving and street lighting. At the beginning of the 20th century Morelia faced modern times with a population of 40,000.
