"a different place"
Express By Holiday Inn Leeds City Centre's staff are very good, and it's almost a different place. If you can get a room away from the main road you'll notice the difference in noise levels immediately. However, now the rooms have aircon, you can leave the windows closed so even on the road side it's not too bad. Courtney, Vilnius

I've been in loads of Holiday Inns and this is one of the better ones. It's comfortable, clean and has friendly staff. It's also inexpensive and handy for the town centre. I've stayed in Holiday Inns that haven't been as nice as this, it does exactly what it says on the tin - It's a Holiday Inn Express.

"Clean & well run - a good place to stay"
I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times over the past few years, and it has always been very good. Front-desk staff are helpful, friendly and are always smiley. Rooms are reasonable size, very clean, and have all the basics. Bathrooms are better than most 'budget' travellers' hotels - big showers with good water pressure. Free parking always fills up quickly, but there is on-street parking nearby. The hotel is located next to a large fire station, on a busy road next to the ringroad junction, and currently there is a big building site next door (as with most of Leeds city centre), so it isn't the quietest of hotels, but it certainly is good at what it does. Breakfast in the morning is the usual complimentary stuff - croissants, cereal, toast, yoghurt, coffee, juice etc. Overall, a good place to stay. I'd happily pay an extra tenner over other 'budget' hotels. If you'd rather save a bit more, there is a Travel Inn opposite and an Ibis next door.

Got a superb deal off the holiday inn express website, the staff were very friendly, and for a budget hotel this has great lounge & bar facilities to have a drink at the bar and watch some tv in a nice atmosphere. Beats sitting alone in your bedroom!
