Lunch is also available Sunday to Friday, and on Friday and Saturday evenings an Early Bird menu is available between 6pm and 7pm. Borders Bar and Lounge offers light meals and snacks designed to meet guests dining needs from 8am to late Monday to Saturday and between 9am and 12.30pm on Sunday.

For relaxation the Spirit Health and Leisure Club, which includes swimmnig pool, whirlpool spa, children's pool, sauna, steam room and multi gym, provides an ideal place to unwind. The extensive range of conference and banqueting facilities includes Shoppenhangers Manor, a 16th century-style Manor house situated in its own landscaped grounds next to the hotel, a unique venue for executive meetings and licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. Also available is the modern Berkshire suite, capable of seating up to 400 people, or the newly refurbished (summer 03) Academy-style executive boardrooms.

"A most pleasant surprise!"
I stayed overnight whilst attending a function at Cliveden. Booking on the website, I noticed the honeymoon suite available at the very reasonable rate of £149, so I took it (for single occupancy!). When I arrived, the buildings reminded me of 1970's style holiday camp accomodation. Inside, though, it has been fully refurbished. The bedroom, I have to say, was exceptional. I was totally stunned - the bathroom, bedding, carpet etc were on a par with any five star I have ever stayed at. It seems to have been refurbished very recently, with an uber-modern look. The jacuzzi bath actually worked first time, and there is also an impressive shower. The room also had 2 sofas and 2 TV's, plus FOUR bathrobes with slippers! The only problems were a) no view! (the window faces a brick wall) and b) I was on the ground floor, as are a third of the rooms. It also had non-removable coathangers, which is a bit poor for a suite. Let's be clear - the rest of the hotel is pretty typical Holiday Inn - children running around, airport-style restaurant and bar etc. However, if you want a big room with a very modern look, the honeymoon suite here is a good place to stay. Note that the Executive Rooms, looking at the hotel photos, have also been redone in the same modern style, but I doubt they have the jacuzzi.

i got a package deal for legoland as my son is in the lego club.(very cheap deal)i chose this hotel as it seemed near to legoland so easy to get to and from the park.the hotel isnt much to look at from the outside but inside its really nice,our room was brilliant and the pool and facilities were brilliant.the breakfast was excellent best ive ever had and everyone was very helpful and friendly.we are gonna go again next year and we had fun at legoland too.
