"Just outside of City's Center!"
This Holiday Inn, at "Vancouver Centre" is a somewhat misleading. We came into the city from a cruise and were slightly disappointed when we had to cross over a bridge and leave the true center of the city. However, once there, we had a pleasant stay with a nice view of the city and backdrop of the mountains. It doesn't take much to dazzle the folks from Florida. This is a no-frills hotel but it was quiet, clean and the staff was very attentive and accomodating (Canadians are some of the nicest people in the world). The elevator and halls are a bit drab, but at least you can always expect reliable relative comfort at the Holiday Inn. A nice touch was the hotel shuttle that will take you to several central destinations throughout the city for free. The down side is the one-way route - no pick-ups! There is actually a casino attached to the hotel, a car rental center place right down the block and in true-Vancouver style, a sushi restaurant on every corner! Good value for this city if you want to save by staying only slightly out-of-the-way!

"Enjoyed our stay"
My fiancee and I visited Vancouver over Memorial Day weekend in May 2003. We booked a room at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre with the Entertainment Card and got a great rate. The room was good size, with a great view (we were on the 16th floor). The staff was friendly and accommodating, helping with everything from figuring out bus schedules to giving us a late checkout. Our package included breakfast, so we ate at the restaurant in the hotel each morning. Service there was friendly also. Really the only complaint we had was with noisy pipes in. When lots of people are taking showers in the morning, you can hear water hammers and screaming pipes. We would definitely stay here again.

A Goldilocks Experience
This Holiday Inn is just a little bit off the beaten track, in a medical area, which makes it very quiet and comfortable. Close enough to walk to major attractions such as Robson St., Granville Market, and even Stanley Park (though it's not a short walk). The staff were very friendly, greeting you at every turn, and the pool/sauna/fitness area outstanding. I especially liked the pool as it's very light and the water is not over-chlorinated, the temperature ... just right! We had a balcony room and the view was tremendous. Would definitely stay here again.
