Good hotel but some downsides
It is a clean hotel with 7 euro roundtrip service to venice which was great. However, It's in the middle of nowhere and no service to the airport. Your only options are the taxi (about 40 euro) or the bus (which takes and hour longer).

"Good hotel"
I always stay at a Holiday inn hotel wherever I find one that is convenient to my journey. I had rent a car and as this hotel is very close to autosrada I booked a double room included breakfast for 4 nights. You can park your car at the parking of the hotel for 8 Euros per day and you can go and return from Venice using the shuttle bus of the hotel or the local bus that is about 10 minutes walking from the hotel. Do not try to go with your car to Venice. You will pay a lot for parking and there is a great chance that you will lose your way to the hotel. Holiday inn Maghera is a very good hotel with very good breakfast,fully airconditioned,and with all the amenities that one can expect from a holiday inn hotel. We had dinner once and I must say that the food was very good for the price , although the portions were not very large. You have to book your seats to the shuttle bus in advance especially if you want to use the late bus (11p.m.) from Venice. If I ever go to Venice again I would certainly stay to this hotel again

"a decent hotel"
We stayed here the last night of our trip, having moved from a hotel in Venice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The A/C didn't work in my parents' room and they had to leave the window open to cool off (which made the room loud because of the adjacent highway). They probably could've moved, but were so tired, they just dealt with it. The elevators are really small, but the front desk was very friendly and helpful. They arranged for a van taxi to pick us up at 4:00am to go to the airport, and all went well. We found the hotel restaurant to be very good. It was better -- and certainly cheaper -- than any of the places we ate at in Venice. There is no internet access available (except dialup, which I *think* was free) in the hotel. There is also no airport shuttle. Expect to pay €40 or so for a taxi to the airport. There is a Venice shuttle, but we didn't use it. One person in our party was in a wheelchair (due to an injury, so he was *somewhat* mobile). He had no complaints about accessibility.

"Weekend in Venice"
Lovely large room and given directions, maps, bus info and shuttle info. The place was very clean and there was a lovely smell in the corridors. Having seen people struggling with their cases on the cobbled streets of venice we were very pleased to be staying just a little outside. We did use the shuttle but the buses were so easy to reach and very frequent so we used these more. Buying the 24 hr ticket was perfect because it meant we could travel all over using the water buses and the land bus. Cannot comment on the food in the hotel as we eat in Venice.

"A lovely hotel with great views."
What wonderful views from a good hotel. Accomadation was excellent. We had wonderful service throught our stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomended.
