"Loved the Gold Coast Hotel"
We wanted to find a place in Hong Kong for a small family vacation before going into China. We found the Gold Coast Hotel and loved every minute of staying there! There is a wonderful sand beach that is great for an evening stroll or the kids. The hotel is gorgeous with marble everywhere. Everyone of the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The buffets are excellant too! We stayed in a balcony room and loved looking out into the marina through the large maranda patio doors. When we wanted to go to downtown Hong Kong the hotel provided a free shuttle service every hour and only a 25 min trip. An excellant stay!

"Great spot for family stays...yet quiet and picturesque."
Although it's a little out of the way for some, it's an excellent venue for those looking for some solitude while in country. A grand hotel, with spacious rooms and service in the traditional manner. They cater a lot for local occasions (weddings/celebrations etc) so it's a great way to see something different in the venues. Very enjoyable and diversified family style buffet/s on offer for all meals, as well as select menu/s and very friendly & helpful staff make for a pleasant stay. We had a high-tea in the same manner as at the Savoy in London, and couldn't fault it. The local area is very pleasant and plenty of things to do & see on long walks.

"Great Place to Unwind- Recommended"
We had a great four nights at the Gold Coast Hotel. We were exhausted following a hectic seven days sightseeing in HK city, and this was the perfect way to unwind. It was spotlessly clean, had friendly staff and good location next to beach and marina. The pool area was fantastic and the food was great value, especially the lunchtime set menu. It was easy to get to from Hong Kong centre- just a 45 minute bus ride from Huong Hom station in Kowloon on the 260x. Also it's really easy to get to the airport- the hotel provides a shuttle service that takes 45 mins and costs HK$95. There seems little of interest in the surrounding area, so it is just a place to go to unwind. The only drawback was that it was sometimes a little noisy at night- the soundproofing between the rooms that had connection doors wasn't great! However, all in all we would really recommend this hotel.
