"Superb for families"
We have recently returned from Phuket having had 14 excellent days at this hotel. We were particularly interested in the facilities for children as we have a four year old son. Within seconds of entering the hotel the staff were looking after our son! He considered the staff to be his 'friends' within the space of a few hours - we couldn't believe our luck! The hotel is excpetionally clean with, often, twice daily trips to the room to make up beds, replace beach towels etc. Timing of these always seemed to fit in with our needs. Everywhere is spotless and the staff have a real pride in the hotel. We used the babysitting service 5 times while we were there at a cost of 250 baht per hour ( cheaper than at home and no booking fee). This was often arranged on the day that we required the service and the staff providing the service were very attentive - we often felt that they had spent all night literally watching our son sleep. The kids club wasn't well attended by other children while we were there but there was always a member of staff present and the facilities were fine for our son. There was always something going on in the hotel in the evening that was suitable for young children (thai dancing , BBQs etc.) and as always the staff made a big fuss of our son. I don't think we have stayed anywhere before where the security guards (not that they appear to be needed) salute you and wish you good day. The care and attention provided is really genuine here. We used the spa and the pool side massage, both were excellent value compared with prices at home. Location was fine - secluded and quiet but only a stroll to the beach and restaurants. However, try to avoid walking back up the hill to the hotel from the beach midday if you don't plan to immediately jump in the pool! There is, however, a free 'tuk tuk' or taxi service to run you up and down the hill if you don't want the 2 minute walk. The landscaping around the pools is superb and it really does feel like an expensive hotel - way beyond the cost. An excellent stay - already considering a return trip next year to the same place.

"beautiful resort"
we stayed 10 nights in this resort and must say that we were pleasantly surprised. having never been to asia before we were a little worried at first, but our holiday turned out to be a good experience. the resort is very well managed and the staff cannot do enough for you, the rooms are cleaned everyday with beach towels changed as well. the pools are very clean and relaxing. we tried the bar b que night around the pool and had a great time, food was excellent and the guitar player and singer were good too. the breakfast staff are very friendly and plenty of choice every morning. check with the guys at the concierge desk for day trips, as they can do a cheaper price than with your tour operator. we did a boat trip to phi phi and james bond island for the price of a child. a very well run resort hotel well worth the money. quite alot of stairs around the resort and a good hill to walk up when you have been down to the beach but nothing that an average fit person cannot manage. good for children as the staff look after them well, the security guards are very happy people always with a good morning and a salute. watch out for the people who like to reserve lounges around the pool by getting up early to get the best chairs. just move their towels.
