Basic but worth every euro.

Hostal Levante Scp hotel is modest and simple, with the most basic amenities, a friendly atmosphere and very decent service. This is a perfect accommodation for young people who are looking for a place to sleep and stash their backpack and have a limited budget.

The building which houses the hostel is also the subject of an urban legend. In the past, the building was home to a brothel, and according to legend one of its illustrious clients was the very young Picasso, who frequented the establishment during his years in Barcelona.
LOCATION

Hostal Levante Scp hotel is located on La Baixada de Sant Miquel, one of the little streets deep inside the Gothic Quarter, the hostel is close to famous squares like Plaça Reial and Plaça Sant Jaume. This is one of the city's most popular and happening areas, home to hip stores like Custo Barcelona and many bars and clubs that draw in a young and fashionable clientele. The location is one of the hostel's principal advantages.

Great for the price
We stayed in a double room with bath. It was impeccably clean and got cleaned every day. People at the reception desk were friendly to us. The hostal is in a great location and we had a balcony that we could sit on and watch everyone go by. I found no problems with this place and it was a fine price!

Great Hostel
We chose Hostel Levante because it offered good priced, private double rooms. The room we stayed in was extremely clean, with a basin and mirror in the room. The shared bathroom is extremely clean and you only share with a couple of rooms. In terms of safety, the immediate area of the Hostel is fine, a fairly busy street and a supermarket underneath which is very convenient! With the proximity to Las Ramblas, the Hostel Levante is a great base from which to see Barcelona - a great, great city!
