Hotel Agon Franke in Berlin is a modern, white- fronted hotel located in the Wilmersdorf district, between the Adenauerplatz and the Schaubuehne. Set in a quiet street off the famous Kurfurstendamm in west central city, the hotel is close to the International Congress Center and Adenauer Platz underground station.

"Franke-ly speaking, a very good hotel!"
I had a good stay at Franke, an old fashioned hotel that offered a clean and quiet room, a large bathroom, friendly staff and a very rich breakfast (comprising of scrambled eggs, a vast selection of ham and cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers and even chocolate/vanilla cream!). At 260 euros for 3 nights in a triple room, the hotel was quite a bargain: lovers of shopping will be delighted, as it is just 5-10 minutes away from the Kurfunstendamm street, but I would recommend it also to other tourists, who will be able - within the same time of walk - to reach the Adenauer Platz U-Bahn station (and from there be in a breeze in every other point of Berlin or Potsdam).

"Excellent value for Money"
Stayed at the Agon Franke hotel, with my son, for three nights, 31st March - 3rd April 2006 and had a room on the sixth (top) floor. The bathroom was clean and recently tiled. The room was furnished adequately. The bed comfortable and the room TV had CNN news coverage. There was no Tea/coffee making facilities or shaving point.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. A safe box facility available free of charge and leaving your luggage for a late flight was catered for without fuss. Breakfast was from 6.30 -10.00am and was both plentiful and adequate in terms of choice. The best way to find the Hotel is as folows - On arrival at Schonefield Airport, purchase a Welcome card at the airport newsagent. Use this card to take the S9 train to the Zoolological Gardens stop. Alight from the train and then take the No. 110 bus ( again using your welcome card) as this bus will drop you at the door of the Hotal Franke. (it is the top after Adenauer Platz)

"Clean & Tidy"
The Agon Franke is not a luxury hotel, but it doesn't claim to be.
For anybody wanting to stay in a central hotel and not pay the earth The Franke is a decent choice.
Its the second time I've stayed at this hotel, and I found it was better this time round compared to my previous visit.
The rooms were extremely clean, and the furniture in the bedroom appeared brand new.
The hotel is situated on Albrecht Achilles Strasse , not far from The Kudamm where you can shop till you drop!!!
A hotel that is good value if you're on a budget.

Great Value,Good Hotel
Stayed here after finiding it on the net. Hotel very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and changed everyday.Breakfast was excellent with good and plentiful choice. Location is just off the main shopping street but in a quiet area. Would have no hesitation in staying there again. |

Excellent Value
This is our second visit to the Agon Franke and it won't be the last. It's convenient for public transport, very clean, has helpful staff and is excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet included a variety of cheeses and meats, yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruits, boiled and scrambled eggs with a wide choice of freshly baked breads and it's replenished regularly. |
