"Great stay at Alta Hotel"
We have stayed in this hotel at the end of December during new year holiday. The hotel was new, clean and well designed. The breakfast buffet was rich and we have eaten a delicous dinner in their restaurant. The staff were very helpful for our questions about the city and sightseeing tours. The location of the hotel is in a quite residental area. Not too far away from the historical center of Prague. You can easily reach to the city center by tram no 12 within 10 minutes. Underground line is almost 400 meters away form the hotel, where you can easily reach by 10 minutes walking. I would definately suggest this hotel for the people looking for a nice, clean and unexpensive accommodation. We loved Prague and Alta Hotel. Hope to be in this lovely city again!

"Clean, great price, free Internet"
I spent two nights at the Plaza Alta Hotel. It was clean and cheap. The only problem was I couldn't get a room with double or queen beds; only twin beds.
The location is pretty good, it is only a few hundred meters from a metro stop.

"Excellent hotel for the price!"
After extensive review on TripAdvisor, we decided to book our 5 night stay in Prague with Hotel Alta. I was quite pleased with our choice. As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I immediately noticed how clean the hotel is. The receptionist and doorman were very friendly. There is a quite a nice spread for breakfast...eggs, sausages, assorted jams, yogurts, bread, fruits, juices. After a long day of trekking around lively Old Town, it was nice to come back to the quiet and safe area where Hotel Alta is located. It is an easy 7 min tram ride to Old Town. Note that there are very few restaurants in this area. We ate in the hotel a few times when we were too tired to get back on the tram. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend less than $100 a night for a good quality hotel. Worth every penny.

"Best Western Alta Prague, a very nice hotel"
I have stayed many times at the BW Hotel Alta, in Prague. This hotel is very well maintained, in a quiet area outside the main downtown core. The hotel is located at the end of the "C" line which is Nadrazi Holesovice, one of the main railway stations. It is about a ten minute walk from there. The breakfast is very nice, buffet style, and the dinning room is also open for dinner, good food, not to expensive. There is also a small bar located in the dinning room. There is a local shopping district located about ten minutes from the hotel, and also besides the subway, there is a tram stop about five minutes away, which will take you to the railway station and the subway, or you can stay on the tram for a nice ride and it will take you very close to old town. I can recommend the BW Alta Prague without reservation, very, very nice.

"Great Quality and Value"
My wife and I were at this hotel in December 2004. This hotel has nice, clean, standard rooms and very helpful, friendly staff. They have parking, very nice breakfast included, they will carry your bags. They even smile and say things like "please" and "thank you". It seems to me that it's tough to find service of this quality in Prague these days. The retaurant is very good. Try the room service.

"A very nice place to stay"
I have stayed at the Best Western Alta in Prague many times. It is outside of downtown, about a 10 minute walk from the end of the subway line "C" and the train station Nadrazi Holesovice is located there also. About a five minute walk from the hotel you will also find many Tram lines, going downtown and elsewhere. The hotel is situated in a very quite area of the city, fairly nondescriped. But a few blocks away lies a very local neighbourhood shopping area. The hotel itself, is very very clean, the rooms extremely nice. There is a dinning room that serves a nice buffet breakfast in the morning, which is included in the room rate. The dinning also serves dinner which I found to be very good. Many local specialties. The staff, friendly, but not overly friendly. It is in a safe area. Even walking at night from the subway station to the hotel, I had no fears. I am sure that one would enjoy the Best Western Alta. I can highly recommend it.
