"Location makes this a good choice."
The Amalia Hotel in central Athens is by far the best value for its location. It is across the street from the National Gardens, trolly, buses and a block from the Metro at Syntagma square. We could walk to shop the Plaka. The breakfasts were a well supplied buffet (even had a small one available to our group at 2:30AM) The elevators were a bit tricky. The rooms facing Amalia were a bit noisy, but our second room on the side was quite large. The bathrooms had been updated.

I loved this hotel. We stayed twice on our trip and had great service, and had rooms with great views both times. The whole chain was great!
