"couldnt be more central" brilliant hotel great location everything within walking distance. rooms a bit on the small side but who stays in the room all day anyway. my husband doesnt like quilts but he was impressed by the ones here. he also said the pillows were the most comfortable hes ever had in a hotel. breakfast was brilliant, didnt need to eat lunch. staff were helpful and polite. the only negative were the toilet rolls, bit on the hard side. do go to gauchos argentinian steakhouse on damraat, best steak ever, the chicken was good too. also find your way to the hard rock cafe, near leidseplein wonderful food, lovely staff and if you like rock music you cant beat it. another good trip is the heineken museum.

"Most helpful staff we've found in large hotel" We were here for 4 nights as part of a group tour, but our time here was mainly on our own. Yes, the rooms are small, and the streets outside are uncomfortably crowded. But most rooms in central cities are small and this was esp. well thought-out and clean. The bathroom was full size. The hotel is just steps from the "Dam," the center of the city, so a perfect spot for sightseeing. Also, perfect for catching the train for a day of birdwatching in the Oostvaarderplassen with Flevo Birdwatching. The dining room is very nice and the breakfasts were esp. enjoyable. But the best part was the staff, who spoke perfect English and could not have been more helpful.
