"Would definitely stay here again" Hotel Barchetta Excelsior is in an excellent location for a visit to Lake Como. Shopping and restaurants close by. Good access to boats for travel on lakes. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great view of Lake Como." Very nice hotel. My room had a beautiful view of lake. The room had a balcony with chairs so you can sit out and take in great view. The room was a nice size and in good shape, but there were parts of the room that looked worn. Bathroom on small side but adequate. Central location in Como. Right across from boat that takes you to Bellagio. Funicular with breathtaking views was 5 minute walk from hotel. I would stay in this hotel again although next time I might prefer to stay in Bellagio rather than Como.

"Surprisingly good experience" We spent two nights early in July. After reading some of the earlier reviews we were a bit concerned with what we would find upon arrival. The staff was friendly, the location was a real plus for us also. Our room was spotless and had a great view of the lake. We really enjoyed sitting out with a glass of wine and taking in the whole scene. We cannot comment on the restaurant or breakfast as we chose other options during our stay.

"Nice place" The hotel was very clean, breakfast included in the price of the room and also very delicious. They were doing some contruction or refurbishing while we were there but it didn't interfere with our stay. The location is excellent, it is right in Piazza Cavour and overlooks Lake Como. Our room also had a small balcony and even though it was December the weather was very mild and we were able to watch the sun rise while sitting on the balconny. The bathroom is quite spacious and they also have hairdryers that are much better than the standard hotel room dryers. You can actually dry your hair and the force of hair and heat of air is adjustable. We'd stay here again!
