"A room with a view!"
We stayed here for 8 days and it was a great visit. The concierge' was great and with his help I was able to master the metro. Going to the flea market and other sites around Paris. The hotel does need a good cleaning on the carpet but my room was charming and over looked the courtyard. Which was very quiet and we were awaken each morning by the sounds of birds chirping. Our stay cost us 3k in US $ for 8 days and this included breakfast each day. Most of our breakfasts were taken in the room as room service at no additional cost. The champagne I purchased went great with the orange juice included in the breakfast. The service was the best I have ever seen, whenever I called the front desk or room service, what ever I had asked for was at my door before I could even put my phone down. Now that's service!
The little bar in the lobby was great for meeting other folks who were passing through and we meet some nice couples there and made friends with several of them. The location is great, 4 blocks to the Eiffel Tower and 3 blocks to Arc and 1 block to a Starbucks, grocery story, laundries cream shop, wine store, restaurants, bakeries, I can go on and on. Spend your money on Paris not the hotel....This is a great value for the money.
Merci!

"Loved it!"
Nice hotel in a great location! Staff friendly and pleasant! Rooms very clean and comfortable plus didn't hear any noise from other rooms! Beds fantastic!! Would stay here again and again! Nice area and handy for the metro! Easy walk to the Palais de Chaillot for a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower!

"Quaint stay in the 16th"
A wonderful little hotel, friendly front desk, both front desk and concierge speak English. Room was good sized for Paris with the soft, comfortable sofitel bed. My room overlooked the courtyard, too, and it was a lovely view. I'm having trouble uploading pix but will try again. It's in a quieter area, so those who like to be in the thick of things may feel a bit on the outside, but to me, if felt like coming "home" each night. Quick walk in two directions to Metro. Concierge helpful. Everyone friendly! Would very much recommend.

"Great hotel, great location"
We stayed here in July, 2006. This was our third time to stay in the Bedford.
I cannot complain about anything. The accommodation is fine. I've read some reviews complaining about the standard of the rooms, but, so far, we have always been given really nice double bedrooms. Maybe we're lucky, but we have never had a problem with the plumbing.
It's in a great location. Grand Central is just two blocks away. Blooms Deli on the corner is ok for breakfast only. However, this time we found an even better deli for breakfast just further down the street (towards 39th St). Sorry, but I can't remember the name.

"great location"
This hotel was clean and staff were friendly and keen to assist.
Our room view was very disappointing as our one window faced the fire escape of the next building!
The location is great i thought. It 's about 300yards from the Chrysler building (which looks awesome at night!) and a short walk from grand central, times square etc
New york is one of the best places i have ever been to so much to do your accommodation doesn't have to be amazing as you hardly spend any time in it! I would stay at the Bedford again as it was a nice friendly and clean hotel and the location was great.
We landed at JFK which is about 1 hour drive to Manhatten but there is so much to see you don't really notice the time!
I can't remember the exact temperature but it was hot and very humid, our skin certainly changed colour!
