"Great Location, Beautiful Town"
The hotel Bonconte is just within the ancient city walls. Our room, on the lower floor, had an amazing view of the beautiful Marche countryside towards a monastery. The room itself was simply but very tastefully furnished, very clean. The area is about 5-10 mins walk from the bustle so it's quiet at night. 5 mins walk to some lovely restaurants too. Idyllic spot.

"quiet, discreet -- with attitude"
Hotel Bonconte is a quiet hotel conveniently located at the edge of the Urbino wall on a quiet backstreet. Our room was quite spacious -- with a view of the hotel's garden. In fact, if the weather is warm enough, one can sit outside in this garden for breakfast and enjoy the bells of Urbino. Our only quibble would be that the hotel seems to pride itself a bit on being a good hotel -- with some condescension from the front desk. We arrived in Urbino by bus from Perugia -- not a easy thing to do -- and found that the hotel was on the other side of town from the bus stop -- and would have required a long hot trip with luggage up the cobblestoned hill to reach the hotel. So when I arrived hot and annoyed at the hotel -- having left my wife with the luggage at the bus stand -- it would have been nice if they had volunteered to use their big black limousine parked ostentatiously at the front door to drive me back to the bus stand to pick up my wife and the luggage. They didn't -- I had to call a taxi. (Perhaps a guest arriving by bus rather than by rental car was a source of puzzlement -- and not worthy of riding in a big black limousine. Who knows?) The price for a double room was 95 euros per night -- a good price for a spacious room in a town full of group tours.

very friendly reception and helpful with comments about restaurants,etc excellent breakfasts in pleasant breakfast room and on terrace wonderful views from bedroom windows excellent position for easy access to centre of Urbino yet quiet..situated on town walls. clean and well cared for with linen,etc
