"Very good value for money!" We have just returned after a 3 night stay in Prague. The hotel was well situated - 5 minute walk from Wenceslas Square and 10 - 15 minute walk from the Old Town and Charles Bridge. We asked for a non smoking quiet room and were given exactly that by the really helpful and polite man in reception. The room was at the back of the hotel and nice and peaceful. The room was really modern, spacious and neatly decorated with a nice ensuite (a shower but no bath - not sure what the other rooms have but it didn't bother us as the shower was a lovely high pressured one). We went on a few tours booked via the hotel, and I have to say I was not at all impressed by them. If you book a tour, it might be better to go on an all English speaking one as our guide didn't speak great English nor seemed to have a great deal of knowledge about his subject either. A great hotel which we would stay at again.

"Loved It!" Hotel is in a great location, near Charles Bridge and about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town and Wenceles Square. The hotel is spotless, and we were lucky enough to get a balcony (great for smoking even in December!) Don't know how many rooms have this though. Breakfast is great too, even scrambled eggs and frankfurters for those from the UK - a change from the usual continental breakfast (but there are cheese, meats and cereals too...............) There is no restaurant in the hotel, but strongly recommend the Lemon Leaf Thai restaurant just across the road - beautiful food and very reasonable. We requested extra pillows from reception and this was no problem, and the satff in the bar are lovely too. If we were coming back to Prague it would definitely be to this hotel, could'nt find fault with it at all.

"First Class Hotel" We spent 4 days here in Feb. It is spotlessly clean with very helpful staff. It is about 15 min walk to Wencelas's Square and centre of City. The buffet breakfast was very good with lot's of choice to suit everyone and an ample supply at the buffet bar. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be appreciated as also an extra easy chair. We recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

"On the whole, it was good" We spent 7 nights at this hotel in a triple room and were looking forward to a nice comfortable stay. The room itself was nice and clean, and the bathroom was the best bathroom we had on our little Europe trip. The cleaners were very efficient with cleaning the rooms every morning and I must say the cleaner was probable the friendliest person in the hotel! The barman was very rude, or maybe that was our interpretation - he shouted something in Czech (which we obviously didn't understand), but he wasn't smiling when he said it, so I assume it wasn't a good thing! So we drank at the bar on our last night to try and break him down - no customer service whatsoever (I think you need to be over a certain age to get any courtesy out of him), although he did say 'goodnight' when we left. The receptionists are on the whole quite helpful, but again don't expect them to crack a smile. I think it's actually a Czech thing, so it's not limited to this hotel! The breakfast consisted of a selection of pastries, cold meats, 2 types of cheeses, yoghurts, bread (with 2 toasters), veg, fruit, and condiments. Drinks included hot and cold beverages from a machine - it's a shame there wasn't any fresh juice. Pretty average for a 4* hotel. On the last day, we wanted to book a car to the airport using the firm that we used to get to the hotel, but they refused to book it for us - guess that's the difference between a 4* and a 5*...On the whole, it was good, but shame about the lack of friendliness. I wouldn't go back to Prague, but if I did, I'd definitely opt for a different hotel.
