"The friendly Candia"
We have just returned from a weekend in Athens staying at the Candia. The area is a little run down and a little away from the acropolis however the very clean efficient and fast tubes are only a minute frome the hotel. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist couldnt wait to tell us about his city and how to get where, how much to pay, what to see and when. The owner was always on hand to give any help at all.
The rooms were typically Greek! Very clean but basic, they did have baths as well as showers (a rare treat in Greece). The breakfast also very basic but perfectly adequate.
Overall the hotel offers excellant value for money and I would definately stay again.
