Hotel Christie is a brand new hotel, located in New Town, within close walking distance of Wenceslas Square, the main shopping and entertainment area of Prague.
Hotel Christie is housed in a beautifully renovated 19th century building which consists of 136 comfortable rooms spread over 7 storeys. Hotel Christie also features two dining rooms, a winter garden, a cosy lobby bar and two conference rooms, suitable for meetings, trainings and seminars. LOCATION
Hotel Christie is situated on a quiet street near Narodni Trida metro station, approximately a five minute walk from Wenceslas Square and National Theatre. Thanks to its central location, Hotel Christie is within easy reach of major tourist attractions Prague has to offer.
One of the important sights within close proximity of Hotel Christie is the New Town Hall and Charles Square, the largest medieval town square in Europe. Think twice before booking this hotel
Hi
Just returned from the beautiful city of Prague and I must say it is truly beautiful. But on arrival at the Hotel Christie, we were told that there was a flood in this new hotel and we were being sent to another hotel. Well I partly believed them until I saw the little tarriff sheet displayed at the reception. The tarriff was for three times the ammount as we had paid for it via the internet. I asked could I see the room and after much deliberation they took me up to a room which was not damaged by water. They then tried to tell me it was the electrics, and then the bombshell, the little porter told us that they had overbooked and the receptionist on duty at the time was quick to defend the hotel and told us the porter has bad English. In fact, while speaking to him, I regarded his English far superior than mine!!!!! Anyway the rooms were not damaged, they just had found someone to pay the full tarriff of around €236 I think than taking our €90 per night including breakfast. I was really disgusted to be treated like this and will make sure that anyone heading for Prague will now know what kind of staff including their manager Michael Vitka are. The only thing to come out of this was we ended up in the Hotel Perla. Ane excellent, clean and more central hotel to the local amenities. I will be going back there again without a doubt. So thumbs down for Hotel Christie |
