"Good option"
I was there about one year ago with my family for 3 nights and it was quite nice. Very quite, clean and low key. Close to the Consulate but far enough to not worry about the "hustlers". The Desk Manager was extremely helpful. About 6 months later, we had to return and decided to save a few bucks and stayed about a block south of it. BIG MISTAKE!! I'll be going back (hopefully for the last time) and I will certainly go back to Colonial Hotel.

"Great Service"
Once again, it was a great experience to stay at Hotel Colonial. The room was very nice and clean, employee's are friendly and helpfull. One draw back is that they only have one shuttle run to the airport at a very early hour. But everything else I could ask for in a hotel was there. Highly recommend this hotel. On a side note, be very aware of the airport taxi drivers. They will try their best to convince you to stay at cheaper hotels, they get a commision spiff from the cheap hotels. I made the mistake of listening to them on our last visit. Spend the extra $20 and don't torture yourself.

"A First Class Hotel!"
We stayed 4 nights at the Colonial Hotel and we were very impressed. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite especially Hector who works the night shift. They were always there to call a taxi for us or help us find a place to eat. The hotel itself is in a good location. There is a superette right across the street where you can get a great fruit salad or buy a toiletry item you may have forgotten to bring. They are within a reasonable walking distance to the American Consulate or just a few minutes away by car. The hotel also offers a shuttle in the morning to the consulate or the airport. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The showers are hot and have goos water pressure The TV has programming in both English and Spanish so you will not have to miss your favorite shows. The grounds were also kept clean and they have 24 hour security service. They offer coffee 24 hours a day and a continental breakfast in the morning and yes the coffee was always fresh. They also had a computer available with high speed internet access. They only had one computer available for guest use so sometimes there was a wait to use it. This was ok though as they do not charge anything to use the internet. There were a few things I wished for. The hotel has two beautiful pools but they are unheated. There were no ashtrays outside (I dont like to smoke in the room). There were no hairdryers in the room. Other then that the hotel is perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place. We saw some of the other hotels in Juarez and were glad we picked this one. Thanks to the great staff at Colonial Hotel for making our stay in Juarez a pleasant one.
