"Superb - brilliant hotel!"
My wife and I stayed at the Daniel for one night. On previous visits to Graz we had stopped at the Ibis on the opposite side of the park - from now on we will only use the Daniel.
Location - excellent - just two minutes walk from train station. An abundance of trams directly outside can get you to the old town in 5 minutes or you can take a leisurely 15 minute stroll.
Staff - all the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with directions, information etc and there was free internet access available in the reception area
Room - superb - very stylish with everything you need - our room overlooked the park and we encountered no problems at all with noise
Breakfast - 10 out of 10 - very good selection in a very pleasant atmosphere
Value for money - Yes! - we paid 77 euros for our double room including breakfast - this compares very favourably with other hotels we looked at
Will only use the Daniel on future visits to Graz and would highly recommend this hotel

"A very nice surprise"
The location of this hotel was excellent if you are travelling by train. We were a little leary with the pastel colors and ultra modern furniture, but really loved our stay. The room was a nice size, the shower was great and they had large fluffy towels, which you don't often get in Europe. We were lucky and got a balcony and even though it was over looking the street it was lovely to sit out and unwind after a day of sight seeing. The doors on the balcony were thick double doors and therefore we didn't hear a sound from outside. The trams are right out front but it is not a bad walk into the centre of town. They also have a free internet station in the lobby.

"What a genius design"
We booked the hotel through Designs hotels Website, expecting a special design and modern hotel like all others in this chain. But this one was very special and genially design. The room seems bigger then it actually is - there is everything you need and it still very minimalist an uncluttered. There is a huge rainshower which share the door with the toilets. Some reviewers found it strange, but we liked it.We also had a balcony - unfortunately with no chairs, so we couldn't use it. The breakfast was the best I've ever had - everything that you can think of is there, and best quality. The staff is nice and helpful. There is a free internet station in the lobby. Graz is a wonderful city with a very special art museum which look like a spaceship in a middle of an old city. We recommend Graz and a stay at the terrific Daniel.

"Good value for money"
The Hotel Daniel is excellent for travellers coming in by train, owing its location near the station. The rooms are clean and spacious, and we had a small balcony.
The breakfast was okay - decent enough selection for a continental buffet.
Well worth the money but a walk away from the main town centre (plenty of trams to get you there, though, if you don't fancy a short stroll)

"Very nice"
Very nice breakfast buffet with absolutely no shortcomings. Rooms were ok - we ordered on with two separate beds and they were huge! So huge that they made the room a bit cramped, but they were very nice to sleep in.
The only real problem with this hotel is the location. We enjoy being near to the centre of things and this was a bit out of the way. However, it is very close to train and bus stops.

"Convenient & Good"
This Holiday Inn is situated right next to the Station Rai. You can get to Rai from Schiphol Airport via IC in about 10 minutes for 2,20 Euros. Tram 4's stop is right by the hotel. A 15 strip card comes handy. 3 strips to Centraal Station. Trams run till late night anyways.
The bar has a section for priority club with free access to internet for platinum members. The restaurant is good. Breakfast is excellent. People are very customer friendly. |

"excellent experience!"
Just arrived from a 5 day leisure trip in Amsterdam. Our experience at holiday inn was extremely fantastic! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast had many options to chose from, room and bathroom were above expectations. We agree with other reviewers when it comes to distance to Amsterdam downtown, but in a very short walk distance (less than 2 minutes) it is possible to take tram 4 to major city tourist attractions (it takes around 15 to 20 minutes - tickets can be purchase with discount in the hotel). RAI Station is also in a very short distance and from there it is possible to go to Schiphol Airport and several other locations. No complaints at all!

""Loved it" Mark and Cath Kelly"
We were a little concerned as we had read other reviews after we had booked. However our fears were unfounded. From the airport, the train station is a five minute walk, and from there Graz main station is ten minutes away. The Hotel Daniel is adjacent to the station, and it couldn’t be better placed, being a fifteen minute walk into the historic centre of the town. In addition, there are bars, shops and restaurants within two to three minutes walk of the hotel. And true, there is the ‘Non Stop adult show’ near the hotel, but it does stop, and if it didn’t, it wouldn’t be a concern. The entertainment, presumably striptease, is not seen from outside, nor are there hordes of people outside - in fact, we didn’t see anyone come in or out. It keeps itself very much to itself - not at all intimidating, and no noise. We saw a few people drinking beer in the park opposite (show me a park which doesn’t have people drinking in Europe), but again it was not at all intimidating. We walked through the park at all times of the day, every day, with no concerns at all. The urban motorway on the doorstep did not exist. There is a main road alongside (hello, we are in Austria’s second largest city…), but there was no noise disturbance. Breakfast at rush hour was peaceful – a pleasure – with the only noise being the tranquil sound of the dining area water feature, and the chatter of guests.
The hotel itself is bright, clean and modern. The shower and wc in the room are cleverly designed – the shower being big enough for a party! Breakfast was of the highest standard, and offered every possible selection. All the staff are very helpful, and are quite happy to attend to variations away from the norm. It was my wife’s birthday whilst we there, and although I had arranged for flowers, the champagne at breakfast and the bowls of peanuts and ‘Gummi bears’ were from the hotel. Excellent service…
We would recommend the Hotel Daniel to anyone, and will have no hesitation stopping here next time we visit Graz.
