We stayed here in April 2007, off season, at a very reasonable rate. The room quality is rather high, and it was a good deal for Montreux - the price of staying "by Montreux" is much more reasonable than "in Montreux" city area, in this place of millionaires, where there are no "cheap hotels" by default. It's only 10 minutes by bus from Montreaux Central Train Station, and the hotel itself is right at the Vevey Train Station. There are couple of decent restaurants along the main embankment square to come out for dinner, just couple of hundred meters from the Hotel de Famille. The place is very nice and quiet. It might, however, be recommended to take earplugs with you to stay overnight in this hotel, since the noise of trains passing by might be really disturbing.
