"Wonderful Hotel"
We booked the hotel through expedia for our honeymoon and couldn't have hoped for a better location. The hotel is beautiful to look at and comfortable and relaxed. The staff made our arrival even more special by leaving a complimentary bottle of champagne and truffles in our room. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a hotel that is close to everything in Paris.

"Loved, Loved, Loved this hotel! It was just what I was looking for."
This was not my first choice of hotels for our trip and we had planned to change hotels mid-way through our vacation, but after our experience I was sad to leave. The location was excellent! Of course, very close to the Louvre and just down the street from the Opera, Cafe Au Paix and 2 blocks from the Seine and a stop for the bateaux.
I was looking for a hotel with European elegance and this was right there with the wallpaper, moldings, sconces, etc. We could see the Opera from our room and the rest of the surrounding buildings have very beautiful architecture. I was worried the bathroom would be small, but it was very usable and clean and larger than I expected. The concierge helped us with reservations and some excursions and we were very pleased with his warmth. It was also very convenient, as there is a taxi stand right at the same corner.
Can't wait to go back!

"Good Hotel,excellent location"
After searching this site, booked a 1 week stay with a Virtuoso Travel Agent, that gave us daily breakfast, upgrade to the next room category, welcome fruits and wine,as a celebration of the relationship with my significant other.
Arrived in the hotel 17hs15.At check in,my upgrade "was not in the sistem".After some time, the management resolved the situation and gave us the upgrade to a junior suite on the 1st floor(suite 121).Room size is 48,6 sq meters.Separate toilet, tub and shower, amenities Annick Goutal,CD player Bose.
Breakfast normal untill 10hs00.
Room very noisy,despite double "soundproof"windows.
Manager assistant solved 1 serious problem, but only next day.
Assistant Concierge M.Bourguignon helped us with reservations in very good restaurants, and even at Alain Ducasse.
Besides that serious problem, very nice stay at 350 euros a night.

"Feeling of Grandeur at the Hotel du Louvre"
I stayed at the Hotel du Louvre over the weekend of July 14 and loved it. I arrived early and the gentleman at the front desk was helpful and managed to check me in before the quoted time. It was a hot weekend so the air-conditioned room was a relief. My room was upgraded to a deluxe room for free. The room they put me in was a spacious suite looking over the Louvre. The decor is simple but classic. The bathroom had a shower and tub and each were modern and roomy.
What I loved about this hotel were the exceptional views and its location in the heart of the 1st eme.

"Good hotel, great experience"
We spent a week in the hotel in April 2005. I had sent an e-mail in advance, indicating that it was my daughter's 9th birthday and her first trip to Paris. The hotel upgraded us to a quiet, deluxe room and made sure that there was a welcoming gift for my daughter waiting in the room when we checked in. Then on her birthday they sent up a large tray of desserts and sweets for her, as well as a personal note from the general manager. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, personable and extremely helpful.

"Hotel du Louvre: Great Hotel, Great Location!"
I reviewed over 50 hotels before arriving in Paris for our Anniversary celebration. The research really paid off when we found the Hotel Du Louvre. We have stayed at Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World, The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and the Wynn in Las Vegas, so we were looking for something great. This hotel didn’t disappoint us at all. The service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. After 8 nights at this hotel we didn’t want to leave. The Hotel was located right across from the Louvre and conveniently located to great cafes and close to 3-4 popular Metro stations. We found the room clean, spacious and well decorated. The housekeeping staff was timely and kept everything in order. The bathroom was modern with all the expected amenities. We only had breakfast at the restaurant, but that was good along with above average service. With all the great cafes in Paris we spent most of our meals out and about town. The Hotel Du Louvre was worth every Euro and we will return later this year to stay again.

"Special Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel from April 24-29. We originally booked 2 rooms from the 24th - 27th. They had an Easter special still running so the rooms rates were quite good (250 Euro's). The rooms were spacious enough and well kept. The towels and other bath items were of high quality. So we don't understand the comments of some others regarding very small rooms and run-downed furnishings or accessories. We are not big breakfast eaters so the included breakfast buffet was more than adequate. What's really special about this hotel is how they helped us out in a jam. One of our party became very ill on April 26. She had to be taken to a hospital. We were originally scheduled to check out on April 27 but the doctor said the soonest our companion would be discharged was Sunday. Paris had gorgeous weather that week and the hotel desk said they were going to be completely full that weekend. They were, but somehow they found us other rooms in the hotel for Friday and Sat night and those rooms were just as comfortable as our previous ones. The upcharge for the weekend and non-Easter special rate was only 50 Euro's. Of course one might say that this was the only decent thing they could do given the circumstances or that hotels always say they are full but they always have extra just in case rooms set aside. However we all have many more stories about places that didn't help us out in a jam or charged us some incredible penalty. The management and concierges of this hotel were simply very human and wonderful and we will remember their kindness forever. TD

"Great location, very charming hotel"
We stayed at the Hotel Du Louvre for 4 nights. We loved the hotel. We stayed in a Jr. Suite. The room was nice size for a European room. The staff was extremely friendly and all spoke English. Breakfast was good too. A nice buffet with eggs, french toast, pastries, cheeses, meats, etc. Breakfast was included in our rate.
The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of everything. You are literally across the street from the Louvre (a minutes walk). The Opera is right up the street (you look out at it as you exit the hotel). Shopping is all around you...Champs Elysees is a bit of a walk, but Concord Square (Hermes, Cartier, etc.) is just up to the left of the Opera and all the jewelry stores are close by. There is a metro station just outside the hotel too.
Great restaurant recommendations. Would definitely go back.
One word of warning. If you need a taxi for 4 people, plan ahead. The drivers don't like to take more than 2 people. Hire a driver to get you to the airport. We waited 30 minutes trying to find a big enough taxi for 4 and luggage. We finally split up.

"Good location/family"
The hotel had been in the middle of renovation when we had stayed here, but it didn't affect our trip. Manager (can't remember her name) had left presents for the kids. Hotel (from memory) is the oldest in Paris, although I could stand to be corrected. We stayed in two interconnecting rooms. Strength in this hotel is its location. You are truly in Paris!

"Great Hotel"
We loved this hotel. It is in a great location with two metro stations across the street. Taxis and buses are readily available. The concierege and front desk staff were fabulous. Carmelo, Sebastien and Arnaud were extremely helpful in restaurant reservations and with general information. Our room was cleaned everyday and a had a great bathroom. The rooms tend to be smaller than those in the US but you find this in Europe anyway. Don't eat at the hotel because it is pricey. There are great cafes and brasseries very nearby. Don't be afraid to venture out. Paris is awesome with great cuisine and friendly people. We would stay here again.

"Perfect Location"
My sister and I stayed at this hotel November 2005 and while our room was not huge you have to remember Europe is not known for large hotel rooms. The room (202)was comfortable, clean and quiet and as for size...how long are you in your room anyway? Bathroom was huge with double sinks, perfect for two people gettng ready and the staff was extremely helpful and polite. No language problems. More on the bathroom... excellent water pressure and instant hot water, something else I have heard was not the norm for Europe! The location is absolutely perfect, we walked everywhere because the hotel was so centrally located. There is a wonderful sandwich shop up the street past the duty free shop on the corner.

"Terrific hotel..."
Stayed at the Hotel du Louvre and, overall, everything was excellent.
We had a Junior Suite which was facing the Louvre (attached pic). The bedroom and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The service was top notch and courtious. They had turn down service every night. Service was prompt when we called.
Overall they seemed to be very interested in our comfort while we were there.
We did not stay in the hotel to dine, but did have a drink in the hotel bar. Nothing special, quaint and nice decor.
Great place to stay if you want to be close to most of the museums. Short walk to Notre Dame and a short cab ride to the Eifle Tower.
I would recommend strong consideration for this hotel while planning a trip to Paris.
