"Great value..."
We just returned from Guadalajara and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Fenix. This was in spite of not being furnished with a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, or a pool. There were no dresser drawers. But the hotel was in the historical part of town and was walking distance to many of the sites. That's what made it enjoyable!

"Excellent view from the eleventh floor!"
My husband and I found our stay a very pleasant one at this hotel. The price was right for a centrally located hotel. The view of the city from our room was breathtaking. I enjoyed the entertaiment in the lounge. The buffet breakfast could improve some for the price. The taxi drivers were knowledgeable, experienced and quiet friendly. The staff was very cooperative, friendly and helpful. If you visit Guadalajara stay at the Fenix.

"Second-time visitor"
This was my second trip to gdl and my second stay in the Fenix. The location is fantastic. You can walk anywhere. Security is very good. The place is quite clean, although the maid service was somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes they forgot to replace towels, etc. The knob that controls the shower was broken off and it never did get fixed while I was there. I could still operate the shower without it, so it was a minor inconvenience. The staff is very helpful and quite efficient, otherwise. They are very helpful in making sugestions of things to do and see and good at giving directions. I will return again in a couple of months and will again stay at the Fenix.
