Hotel Fertel Etoile
Cheap and cheerful. In need of a total refurb. If you're looking for extremely clean don't bother with this one. Dark and dingy. Breakfast good and staff very helpful and friendly. Ideal location for arc de triomphe and champs elysees, shopping and there's a metro station about a minute walk away (called argentine). Of course you're not in your room all day so for us it was fine. No safe in room but there are safes in a room adjacent to reception. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Room smells slightly smokey - not sure if it was a smoking room if these are still allowed! Good location for air france bus which stopped at Arc de triomphe. Overall very average.
