"our stay was really great"
Hotel Fouquet's Barriere's location is primo--right on the Champs Elysees. The lobby is nice but nothing special compared to the other similarly luxe hotels. Overall, though, our stay was really great.

"Walking distance to many places, steps from George V metro "
Hotel Fouquet's Barriere's room was spacious and very nicely appointed. The location is great. Walking distance to many places, steps from George V metro that will take you anywhere else.
Service is a bit spotty at times.Spa is in the same area as the pool. This meant that during a massage, the sound of kids screaming in the pool was quite audible.

"Nice hotel, FANTASTIC staff"
We recently spent five days at this hotel. As other people have noted, its strength is its staff. They are simply the best. We were somewhat of a traveling circus, with three small children and two grandparents. We used the concierge service for everything from restaurant reservations to diapers, and they came through every time. More than that, however, there is simply a warmth shown by the entire staff that makes the place inviting. This is, however, in direct contrast to the decor--chilly and glamorous in a souped up forties deco sort of way.
The location is primo--right on the Champs Elysees. We had three connecting rooms. (I didn't even know such a thing existed.) By some miracle of engineering, the windows, which overlooked the Champs Elysees, blocked out all sound. It was really kind of wild to look out and see all that traffic and hear none of it.
The lobby is nice but nothing special compared to the other similarly luxe hotels. Also, there was either a photo shoot or a commercial being filmed in the lobby EVERY SINGLE DAY we were there. Only a minor annoyance, but if you are paying for a top hotel you shouldn't have to deal with that.
Overall, though, our stay was really great and the magnificent staff more than made up for the hotel's other shortcomings.

"Incredible Paris Luxury"
We stayed at Hotel Fouquet's Barrière to celebrate our anniversary, and this hotel far exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, and the room was so packed with amenities, it sets the hotel far above all the rest. Because this hotel is relatively new, everything shines from the moment you walk in the door. The staff is first rate, and every need that you may have is anticipated for you. Our butler was great at fulfilling all of our needs. Our room faced the Champs Elysées, and while this is a very busy street, the noise from the road was completely obliterated by the extensive sound deadening that has been incorporated into the hotel. The bath room was great with a flat screen TV situated to be watched while bathing in the tub, including a waterproof remote control. The separate shower with rain head was beautifully appointed. Breakfast was brought to our room daily, which was brilliantly presented and delicious. Dinner at Le Diane was magnificent and this restaurant gives Thomas Keller's French Laundry some global competition. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris that wants to have a luxurious experience in the City of Lights.

"Fouquets-Barriere Hotel..A Must Stay in Paris"
We just returned from Paris, France. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We stayed at a new hotel , Fouquets-Barriere Hotel on the Champs-Elysees. Even though it is located on one of the busiest streets in Paris, the rooms are completely sound proof, with double glass doors.
First, the location could not be better. It is right on the corner of Georges V and Champs-Elysees. The hotel opened in Nov. 2006. It is very chic from the lobby to the bar, restaurant, spa and finally the accomodations. We stayed in a junior-suite Champs-Elysees ,with a view of the Arc de Triomphe. It was large,550 sq ft well appointed with a pop-up plasma at the foot of the bed. The bed is so comfortable. The bathroom has a double sink vanity. You will have a butler assigned to you the entire stay who will cater to your every need. The honor bar , stocked with waters and juices is free. The breakfast is typical French continental, but you can order eggs etc if you want.
We had many questions for the concierge who helped us with Metro directions and restaurant suggestions and gave us tips on what to see.
We would commend the staff for it's friendly manner especially Daniella, Thomas, Sofie, Marina, Josef and all the waiters at Le Diane restaurant morning and evening and the spa staff.(You must get a treatment while you are here) They couldn't have been more professional and nice. My husband planned a special surprise for me for our anniversary which required much of the staffs cooperation. He purchased a large oil painting we had seen last year in Spain and had it shipped to the hotel then hung in our room. I don't believe any other hotel would have been so accomodating with this unusual request. It was the best present I have ever received.
We were going to stay at the Four Seasons, which is a lovely property, but having stayed here at Fouquets-Barriere, we would not stay anywhere else when traveling to Paris.
Please look at the hotel web site then book your stay at the most charming, chic and romantic hotel in Paris!
