Hotel General, established in 2007, is a charming boutique hotel located in the Andel district of Prague, within easy access of the historic city centre. Andel is one of the most important commercial districts of Prague, boasting numerous bars and restaurants as well as two multiplex cinemas and one of the biggest shopping malls in Prague.

Housed in a beautiful, late 19th century building, Hotel General consists of 20 luxuriously appointed guest rooms. Hotel General also features an extensive range of leisure and business facilities, including restaurant, wine bar, meeting room and sauna.

LOCATION

Hotel General is conveniently located in Andel - Smichov, on the west bank of Vltava River, approximately a 5 minute metro ride from the historic city centre. Within a short walking distance of Hotel General is the Staropramen Brewery, where tours about the history of brewing beer in Bohemia take place.

Andel Square is located about a 3 minute walk from Hotel General, featuring Novy Smichov Shopping Mall as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. A short walk from here will take you to Bertramka Villa where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart stayed in 1787, before the premiere of the world-renowned opera Don Giovanni.

Some of the other tourist sights within a 10 minute walk of Hotel General are, Charles Square, New Town Hall, Charles University Botanical Garden, Emmaus Monastery and Dancing Building.
