For some good quality tapas, head for Calle Quintana Rosado in the old part of town where many bars serve tapas such as boquerones en vinagre (fresh anchovies in oil and vinegar) and slices of tortilla with bread for a very reasonable price

For those wanting to do something a little different then catch the train to Fuengirola which is about 12km from Torremolinos and visit the Fuengirola Zoo. Here you won't find animals pacing up and down their cages here you will wander through a simulated tropical forest, rich with vegetation and even rivers and waterfalls. If you are lucky then you will get to see crocodiles basking, tigers bathing and lemurs playing around.
