Hotel H10 Itaca is located a 3 minute from Sants Train Station whch will take you into the centre of Barcelona in about 5 minutes.
For the more adventurous you can walk to the famous Plaza de Catalunya in about 40 minutes taking in the fantastic architecture of the city. Stroll through the Gothic Quarter and visit the famous Barcelona Cathedral.
Take a walk down Las Ramblas stopping for some Tapas in one of the restaurants and sit back and watch one of the many street performers.

"good hotel, great service"
We checked Tripadvisor reviews for the H10 Itaca and, on the strength of the positive comments, we booked two rooms for us and for friends who were passing through Barcelona on their way home. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, friendly helpful attitude of the staff and the variety and quality of the buffet breakfast. We also had a very nice late supper sitting outside on the terrace, which was most pleasant. The hotel is near the railway station, Sants, but a bit far from the centre. The metro is easy to use, however, and we had no problem getting around and seeing the sights. We will definitely stay here again.

"Nice Hotel"
We booked this hotel via lastminute.com and got a room including breakfast on a Sunday night for £45, much reduced on the advertised rate.
As away from the main tourist area, restaurants are somewhat scarse. However we found a nice Chinese just around the corner (turn left out of hotel, then left at lights) which worked out at less than £15 for starters, two main meals and a couple of drinks.

"Great hotel"
What a great hotel!
Everything was excellent from the champagne on arrival to the rooftop jacuzzi (takes a bit of finding - up the stairs from the 7th floor and use your keycard in the door at the top).
Spacious air conditioned rooms, free wifi & internet terminals, great buffet breakfast, and unusually for Barcelona, relatively quiet.
Will definately be at the top of my list next time I visit Barcelona.

Very pleased with this hotel. On our arrival as a party of four adults we found very hot rooms as the air conditioning had failed and was out of action for two days. As compensation the hotel manager agreed to give us two free evening meals each with wine in the restaurant.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant and I would happily stay there again. |
