Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town’s Art Nouveau style building originally dates back to 1850s and it served as a brewery until 1903. The building was converted into a hotel in 1912 by Josef Maceka and in a short time it became a sought after meeting place visited by renowned Czech artists such as Jaroslav Hasek, Franz Kafka and Alfons Mucha.

Another monumental building within close vicinity of Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town is the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia which is the oldest Gothic building in Bohemia region and today displays wonderful examples of Medieval and Renaissance art.
