Hôtel Le Cavendish was one of these private demeures which made the splendour of the French Riviera during "La Belle Epoque". Edified in 1897 and totally renovated in 2001, this hotel now combines comfort and latest technology with the classicism architecture of the building. From the original building, the architect has chosen to preserve its majestic XIXth century facade.

The lift, dating from 1920 and the carrara marble staircase bestow beauty and character to this demeure. Come into the reception salon in which antiques assorted with travel trinkets, under the hovering spirit of Lord Cavendish, shall transport you, in all serenity, into another era. The receptionist will explain details of your stay with us: just sit down and enjoy a drink. The desire of the owners is to give you the feeling of entering a private house rather than a simple hotel.

Guestrooms are spread over 4 floors with one predominant colour per floor : lilac and grey on the 4th floor, blue and beige on the 3rd floor, olive and gold on the 2nd and chocolate on the 1st floor. Decorated in the purest XIXe century Provencal style, the noble materials and superb furniture go together perfectly with equipment of a hotel of this category.
LOCATION

Hotel Le Cavendish is located a few minutes walk from the Palais des Festivals and La Croisette, it's situated in the heart of Cannes.
PROPERTY AMENITIES

* The lounge bar is in itself a key room of the hotel and you shall be bewitched by its luminescent coulours offset by a red ceiling. Whether it is for breakfast where you will be surprised by the inviting smell of hot pastries, homemade marmelades and wide choice of loose leaf teas or in the evening, where clients are encouraged to help themselves to a drink from the complimentary open bar (free of charge from 5 pm till 11 pm).

* A unique place in Cannes : a 200 m² loft across the street in front of the hotel where we can organise all special events or meetings. Half of space is with daylight – very trendy design with white sofas, olive trees and pieces of antic furniture. Perfect for parties, picture shootings.

"Wonderful Hotel"
We took advantage of the special ran over New Year's. This was one of the best travel experiences that we've had. The staff were wonderful. The service was impeccable. The location is great. It was the only time where I was happy to get back to my hotel after a day of sightseeing.

"Lovely hotel with fantastic service!"
This small and cosy hotel is less a place to stay and more a home away from home. The staff are absolutely wonderful and this together with a good location just minutes from the front make this a perfect place to stay in Cannes. The room was lovely with a great bathroom and nice traditional furnishings. The breakfast is also worth having, with great breads, jams and juices. Also worth knowing about is the free bar in the evening where you can help yourself and if you are hungry, food will be whisked to your table - all free of charge! This hotel is just one of a kind, I've stayed in many five star hotels that don't come close to this level of service. Next time I am in Cannes I will definitely stay here and would recommend it to all.

"boutique bliss"
This is a wonderful small hotel near the Cannes train station, five minutes walk from the Palais des Festivals and the Croisette. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and medium-sized, in a renovated historic building with a great antique lift. The real attraction is the service. There's a serve-yourself open bar all afternoon and evening in a sitting room off the lobby; sit there long enough and a staffer will bring a plate of cheeses, sausages, olives or other nibbles. The women at the front desk took care of every need, from a cold drink at arrival to arranging car service. Chocolates or designer lollipops appeared on our pillows every night. I'd guess you feel more like a pampered aristocrat here than at the palace hotels on the Croisette.
