"A very nice hotel"
We were there for three nights with two small children. The family room was terrific--a queen-sized bed for mom and dad, and a separate room with a twin bed and trundle bed for the kids. Tea in the room. Small but very nice swimming pool. Friendly, English-speaking service. Walking distance to the Aiguille du Midi tram, the Montenvers train, Rue de Dr. Paccard, etc. The balcony looked out over the River Arve and the sound of the running water was very soothing. There is very little traffic noise. Hotel restaurant is adequate and there are a number of restaurants and grocery stores within a 5-minute walk. I would stay there again--perhaps we'll go back next year.
