"A Pleasant Stay"
The Murcure Buda, Budapest is a pleasant hotel. The check-in was straight-forward and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with the usual facilities provided. The breakfast was plentiful and of good quality, and there is a chef there to cook scrambled eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc. The swimming pool was extremely cold, but is traditional in some parts of Central Europe. The hotel restaurant is fantastic for an evening meal, as there is a wide variety of fine food and wine. The hotel's location is reasonable, but not brilliant, although it is right by Deli Palyaudvar (South Station) which also houses the Line 2 Metro terminus. The are trams nearby too.

"Would revisit the Mercure Buda"
September 2006, Just returned from a trip to Budapest staying at The Mercure Buda. I had read a few tripadvisor reports on the hotel prior to my visit and decided to book. The Hotel was two minutes from the Metro station, so having caught the train from the airport to the Metro it made our journey pretty straight forward. The staff were very helpful, the hotel was emaculate, our room was spotless; not the most modern room I have stayed in but comfortable and value for money. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends.

It was a pleasent stay. Great location. We had a rented car part of the time so we could just park on the street and not pay for parking.
