"Hote Moka, Excellent stay to reccoment!" After a lot of stays in a lot of hotels in Athens,I came across Moka. I have booked a hotel in the near area but they have given my room to someone else.After hours of search (everything was booked ) I have started crying not being able to find something! I got in a taxi and asked the driver to take me to Pireus to search there but inside the taxi was a girl sitting in the front seat. I was asking the driver if he knew a place to reccomend but he did not speak any English. The girl was looking at me from the front mirror and was smiling at me. She turned back to me and said: Hi,my name is Katia I work in a Hotel would you like me to take you there? I told her that I would be obgligated if she took me there...(I was in despare). She turned the taxi around and got me off in front of Moka.She got out took my luggage and always smiling gave me a key. Now everything is okey?Isn't it? she said. I took the elevator and went to my room. Everything was smelling like fresh cut wood. I came down to ask the night shift for some water and maybe for a juice. He took me to the 4rth floor where they have a great Terraced cafeteria with waterfall. I got my juice,relaxed and finally went to bed! The next morning I was wondering if I could take breakfast somewhere. There she was,Katia,at the front desk. Hello,hello she said.How are you feeling today? I am hungry,I replied. She sent me to the cafeteria, I took my breakfast and I was full of energy to explore Athens.But where to go?? I went to the front desk again. I asked her for some tips and she helped me so much. She told me where to go,how to go there she printed me a map for each location she gave me her cell phone for if I got lost or if something happened to me. I felt very secure! Coming back she was still there, so I once more asked her for tips on nightlife. She reccomended a place in Plaka. I had the time of my life! I was dancing all night through and cost me pennies. I stayed at Moka for 4 days and got to know Athens by hard thanks to her. The room was cleaned every day.They changed the sheets every other day. The hotel was quiet, very clean and everyone was very friendly. She helped me book my tickets back, find me a seat in an overbooked flight...(HOW??) She even sent me a postcard x-mas.(We've exchanged addresses and telephones) I would definately reccomend this Hotel to anyone. It doesn't have view of the Acropolis or of Lycabettus but it is a c class hotel with b class accomodations! For 4 days in last September I payed 150 euros! I will be visiting the hotel again this year...Hope I find a room!
