Hotel Molina Lario is located in front of Málaga's wonderful Cathedral, right in the historical, cultural and commercial centre, a few minutes from the harbour as well as from the famous Picasso Museum. A newly built hotel, consisting of three buildings, two of which have been completely refurbished, keeping the original 19th Century façade, and the third absolutely new, together comprising a unique hotel set in the heart of the city.

Among its several services, the property offers a reception open all day long, 24-hour room service, six fully equipped meeting and conference rooms with a capacity of up to 200 people, a business centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a solarium, an indoor entertainment room for children, a bar and a restaurant.

"Great Hotel, not so hot on Malaga"
Following on from a weeklong stay in Estepona we decided to spend the last two days of our trip in Malaga. The hotel was well positioned right next to the cathedral and close to the main shopping area. If you are travelling by car you there is a small underground car park which they charge 15 Euros per day for. The rooms were stylishly presented and reflected the four stars. There is a roof top pool but it is quite small and you will do well to secure a place during the afternoon. You would be better off going over to the beach if you want the sun for more than a couple of hours. Excellent hotel but more than a little disappointed in Malaga itself. The Cathedral nearby sums up the place – wonderful structure but only half complete.

"Fantastic"
Hello We stayed in this Hotel for 1 night only. Ideal for us as we had a long drive to get to the airport from Cortes De La Frontera and thought that an overnight stay would not ruin the last day of our holiday. The porter parked our car on arrival. Check in was delayed but this was our fault not the hotels the reception took care of our lugage and we went sightseeing, taking the tour bus that stops right outside the hotel. We had a delux room and it was fabulous, decanter of brandy in the room, DVD player, Wireless conection if you have a laptop. slippers, bathrobe, CD of the hotels own composed music to listen to and take home. They even had toothbrushes for you to use. The rooftop pool is small but good for a dip also a putting area on the floor below for the golfers. The hotel decor is of the highest quality throughout. We did not eat in the restaurant but were very tempted, we ate in a small local resaurant that we cannot name but it had two large wine barrels outside and the steak was of top quality as was the wine, this restaurant was recomended by Colin who is I think the Manager of O'Neils bar by the hotel, we do not usually bother with this type to bar but it is very good. Malaga City is well worth a visit, it has very good shopping and a lot to see. We liked it all so much we are going back to the hotel for 5 days in October just for a break,same hotel.

"Great hotel, reall recommended"
Great and amazing hotel. We stayed there for 2 nights. The location was great, right in the center of all happenings. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are clean with very nice design. They have a small pool on the roof which was amazing... We had a great time there. It was a bit hard to find quality restaurants there in the surrounding . A really recommended restaurant with great food is Huapi located in the malaga center.

"We loved this modern, elegant hotel!"
This hotel exceeded our expectations: it's brand new, elegantly and generously furnished, sparkling clean, in a great location in Malaga (a place that has much more tourist appeal than most guidebooks let on). The bathroom was simply gorgeous. The staff are pleasant and efficient. We booked a Deluxe Double Room, through Booking.com, at an incredible low price of 115 Euros, in mid-January: unheard-of value for such a classy hotel (based on what we paid in Granada and Seville). Included were not only the usual luxury touches like slippers and thick bathrobes, but even a CD for the guest (and good-quality player to play it on - NOT for the guest to keep...) of "chillout music" (a 1st, in our experience). The very large room, super-high celing and floor to ceiling windows, covered by generous organza drapes, everything in white, with handsome 4 poster King bed, and elegant modern dark wood furnishings, with view onto a picturesque alley (we'd asked for a quiet room at the back), were very much to our taste. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor and courtyard seemed great. (We only had snacks and a drink at the bar). Very classy, without being stuffy. We can't say enough good about the Molina Lario!

We stayed at the hotel 22/23/24 of December and had a fabulous time. The room was tastefully decorated and luxurious - we were overlooking the small side street but had no balcony. The staff were really helpful but my only criticism would be - and this is entirely our fault - that we didn't realise that everywhere would be closed on Xmas Eve so we had room service. The rooftop pool/patios have fabulous views and the groundfloor courtyard looked amazing with its tall Xmas tree. We enjoyed the stay so much that we have booked again in September. Would reiterate the point about the parking - it can be a very tight squeeze!

"Great Hotel - recommend it."
Had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights in this hotel. Great location - lovely views of the Cathedral from our small balcony. Immaculately clean - marble everywhere, chrome fittings and boutique style hotel furnishings. Staff spoke English well and were very helpful. They recommended a great tapas bar just up the road for our first night (La Ribena) and even managed to arrange car hire for us at 2 hour's notice. Their outdoor pool on the roof is obviously seasonal, but fantastic views for photos. Two other recommendations nearby - try Bar Logueno on Calle Maria Garcia (excellent little old tapas bar with huge choice) and El Jardin on Calle Canon on the corner of the leafy garden area by the Cathedral (food/drink and live music). All in all, we loved it and would definitely recommend it.
