Hotel Paris is located in the most historic area of Prague. As a visitor you will enjoy access to many interesting historic sight, stores, galleries and restaurants within steps of the Hotel. The Hotel Paris is located in the main pedestrian area but it is also easily reachable by car. Next to Hotel Paris is underground station Namesti Republiky (line B) and tram stops (No. 5, 8, 14). Distance from the Intl Airport Ruzyne is 16 km / 11 miles and it takes approximately 30 minutes by car.

The hotel was built in 1904 by well-known architect Jan Vejrych; interiors were designed by A. Pfeifer and ceramic mosaics by J. K�hler. Even more than 100 years already passed, the Hotel retains its singular style and beauty of the Art Nouveau era.

Before communist�s era the Hotel functioned as the city�s distinct attribute of traditional wealth. In 1984 the Hotel was declared a historical monument and so deservedly then belongs among other the most remarkable Prague sights. After the Velvet Revolution, in 1991, the government returned the Hotel in the restitution process to its original owner, the Brandejs Family, being in the hotel business for already over 150 years.

LOCATION

Hotel Paris is superbly located just next to the Powder Tower, medieval gate of entry to Prague, where remarkable King�s Road starts. This road leads directly to the Prague castle and in medieval times it was the only road served for King�s retinue.

If you take this road, you will see many of the most beautiful Prague sights:
Old Town Square, Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, Nerudova Street etc.

* The restaurant is a masterpiece of architecture. It is named after Sarah Bernhardt, an actress and singer. The interior is classic Art Nouveau: blue cleft mosaic with original lighting fixtures, wooden wainscoting and gilded stuccowork. This makes the restaurant a pearl amongst its Prague rivals. The Sarah Bernhardt gourmet restaurant features outstanding French, Czech and international cuisine. We are very pleased to offer "Courtesy of Choice" for non-smokers.

* Caf� de Paris" resembles the traditional caf�s in Paris; it also echoes the Art Nouveau 1920's culture that still flourishes in Prague. It is famous meeting point in town whenever it�s business breakfast of friendly chat over coffee & delicious home-made cake.
