Has been the very center of the city's social life since 1866...
Hotel Sacher Salzburg has been the very center of the city's social life since 1866 and has hosted members of reigning houses, aristocrats, scientists, poets, actors, and artists. Refined accommodations, inviting restaurants, and an elegant hotel bar all help to create the unique character of the hotel.
Hotel Sacher Salzburg was built by Carl Freiherr von Schwarz - is situated in the heart of Salzburg. In a town, that unites so tastefully architecture, music and culture, the hotel was even then, because of its situation on the quiet Salzach promenade, the center of attraction for guests from all over the world. The hotel has made history over the years, the which the well-kept guestbooks bear witness. A new area began 1988 with the Guertler family, the owner of the well known Hotel Sacher in Vienna. To preserve the atmosphere and uniqueness, renovations and expansion work was carried out so that the hotel presents itself as a meeting point in the heart of Salzburg. |

"Old World Elegance"
Hotel Sacher Salzburg is an excellent choice for a stay in Salzburg. It is a beautiful hotel with elegant public areas and is well located just across the river from the old town and shopping. Rooms are very large with clean new bathrooms. We had an great "Sacher in the City" room rate and felt the room, hotel and breakfast were well worth the expense. The breakfast buffet was huge and the best of any hotel on our 3 week trip. What sets this hotel apart from others is the service. It is exceptional. We were always well taken care of. They offer coffee and pastries early in the morning for those who have to leave before breakfast is available. We highly recommend staying here.

"fantastic"
Stayed here on recommendations, fantastic Hotel - polite staff, great postion with room over looking the river ( away from busy old town but only a few mins walk away) HUGE breakfasts ( try and resist the champagne and Sacher Torte...!)
If you want to see a Mozart Concert - might be better to go to the Mirabell rather than the dinner concert in the Castle - great location .

"Beautiful Hotel Sacher"
We stayed at the Hotel Sacher for 2 nights as part of the 'Sacher and the City' deal (€190 per night including breakfast). Overall, we had a fantastic time. The rooms were fantastic - the bed was extremely comfortable and I was tempted to take the pillows home with me. The mini sacher tortes on the first night were also a nice touch!
Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, they arranged tours (you can buy tickets at the front desk) and hotel pick-ups. However, the hotel is very conveniently located so you can walk everywhere.
Breakfast was fantastic (although it was included in our rate) and we also had a great light dinner in the Cafe Sacher when we were too exhausted to go out.
I would definitely recommend!
