Hotel Stadion was opened in 1982. As part of the Danubius wellness and fitness program, a Danubius Premier Fitness Club was opened at the hotel in 2001, which further established the historic sporting links between the hotel and its great location. The complete refurbishment of the hotel including the lobby, the Coffee Shop & Lobby Bar, the rooms and the common areas was finished in 2002. The hotel with its pleasant warm colours and comfortable furniture has an instantly captivating atmosphere.
LOCATION

Hotel Stadion is situated within a few minutes drive by car or public transport from the centre of Budapest, in the immediate vicinity of Budapest's largest sports, event and fair centre, the Puskás Ferenc Stadium, the László Papp Sportarena and the Budapest Fair Centre (BNV). Due to its excellent potentials (which is reflected in the slogan of the hotel "Allied Partner of Hungarian Sport") Hotel Stadion offers the best solution for accommodating participants of sporting events or congresses and exhibitions, which are often held in their neighbourhood.

Very Clean Great Location
Very big hotel with swimming pool. very good location right across the metro station. I would certainly suggest it to everybody.

"Great location"
We stayed at the Stadion from 17.04.04 to 21.04.05, we were on a short break to the City, the hotel is big, clean and well staffed. It is located right next to the Red M2 Metro line with a direct link in to Deak Ter (city centre) which takes approx 7minutes, you will not wait any more than 5 minutes for a metro, all parts of the city are within easy reach either by Tram, Metro or Bus. The hotel rooms are basic with a Mini Bar which isn't overly expensive and Tv en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, it is on a par with Jurys Inn, Ibus or Holiday Inns, there is a Gym, Swimming pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Bar and Restaurant which are all of a good standard, it is all round great value for money. I would advise any tourist going for 2,3 or 4 days to buy a tourist card which lets you on all pblic transport free and into all museums and the zoo for free or at a discounted price, you can also get discount in shops and restaurants, it costs approx €24 for a 3 day card, I can't recommend this place enough.

We stayed at this hotel in March 2005. It was booked via yeego and we only paid Ł35 for a twin room per night inc breakfast. (Breakfast was buffet and very good) We stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel itself is clean and very large. The rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable. There are gym facilities which are great including sauna and swimming pool free of charge. We would stay there again if the location was right however you will not be disapointed with this place if the price is right.
