"A great place to stay" I stayed at the Howard Johnson last May and found the hotel to be in a great location,clean and pleasant So when I started to read the comments made about the hotel recently I was a little worried about my return trip this July. I need'nt of spent anytime worrying. We were welcomed by a friendly helpful receptionist who helped us choose a room of our liking. We managed to get the room next to the one we had last year which had an exellent view of the pool. The room was clean and tidy and did not smell. The air conditioning was a godsend and was not noisy like some units you can get. The hotel pool and hot tub was clean and was lovely after a day out in the sun. The pool was full of families and was busy in the early evening. The pool area was clean and tidy and free towels were provided. There is a bar,laundry area and vending machines. The only negative point would be housekeeping, although the bins were emptied, beds made each day and clean towels left they did'nt seem to clean the bathrooms or hoover too carefully. Also the hallways could of been hoovered a bit better. There is a Dennys diner,Mcdonalds,supermarket and other bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend the Howard Johnson Hawaiin Court to anyone wanting a place to stay on I Drive.
