"great trip"
went to spain, xmas day to new years day. booked on the 16 of dec. using expedia, hotel and airfare. r/t from atlanta, six nites room and breakfast. $2000 for two of us.
madrid is great. hotel called husa chamartin. excellent for the price
with breakfast. over a train station. no noise. on the metro, the best subway system ever.
took the ave {bullet train} to seville . 345 miles on the train . takes 2 1/2 hours. the greatest. go tourist 104 dollars round trip.
Seville is most beautiful and exciting. stayed at the gran hotel renacimiento. beautiful, but out of the way. i would stay downtown in the old part of town.
no food recs, to us food is just fuel, and we just ate the local specials. we just walked and looked and enjoyed. nice people, but very little english spoken. museums spectacular. lovely country

Excelent service, english spoken, down the elevator and you are in the Chamartin Station, with buses, subway and trains to go anywhere.Would stay again |

"Husa Chamartin was great!"
Nothing really fancy, but excellent service and clean, comfortable rooms. The desk staff was very helpful, giving advice for traveling around all of Spain and suggesting places to go. It was a great experience!
