"Ideal !!!!!!"
As per previous comments I was a little worried after some of the damming views even though it was part of the Hyatt chain. Due to this concern I emailed Hyatt outlining the comments from TA and had a prompt reply basically saying not to worry. Anyway on arrival we were checked in by a very helpful Donald who gave us a hillside view on the penthouse floor No 1427. Either my e-mail worked or Donald was just plain nice.
The rooms were a great size and I would agree the decor a little dated but hell, it aint my house. The location was superb and parking was only $18.00 per day which in LA I thought was pretty good, valet is more at around $25.00. It was nice to be able to leave your car at the hotel and be able to walk to get something to eat. My recommendations would be 'Cravings' on Sunset plaza turn right out of the hotel and just a 10 minute walk, opposite that is Chin Chins a good Chinese. Turn left out of the hotel 5 minute walk is The Ranch very good steaks and if you need just a quick snack Carneys hamburger train is next door. There are plenty of other places close by these were just our favourites.
The staff at the hotel were always polite and very helpful with local information. As for comments about noise we stayed there over a weekend and heard nothing. A worthy point of note is a function room was located around the corner and upstairs from our room. There were two functions during our trip and staff shut the double doors that lead to the accomodation corridor so you were not bothered by the people attending.
Notes: Great location, clean, staff very helpful.Great roof top swimming pool with complimentry towels
Plus point saw Ron JEREMY twice in the bar

"Decent Option"
A good option in a very good West Hollywood location.
Rooms are a little tired, excellent size so still completely adequate.
No mini bar or fridge in the room which I dont like, bit ice and vending machine on floor.
Well cleaned room and decent bathroom.
Roof top pool was busy at the weekend , but quiet during the week.
No bar or drinks available on the roof which seemed a little strange
