It's all about giving you the best holiday possible...
Re-opened in August 2003, Ibis Budapest Emke Hotel has undergone complete refurbishment - now making it one of the best value tourist-class hotels in the city. Comfortable as well, it enjoys a downtown setting next to Blaha Lujza tér (serving as an ideal sightseeing base not only for Pest but Buda too).
The main cultural and tourist attractions can be reached easily so it is an ideal starting point both for businessmen and Budapest visitors. It takes 15 minutes to walk to National Museum and the business centre. The walking area “Váci utca” in the downtown is 2 stops by underground or by bus.
Additionally, the hotel offers facilities for disabled people, four non smoking floors and air conditioning. |

"Great value for money"
We have stayed at the Ibis Emke during Easter 2006 for 75 euro per night, per room. It is a very convenient hotel for public transportation (metro and tram). We highly recommend buying the 1,2 or 3 day transportation card and use the trams. A fantastic way to travel in Budapest, very fast and reliable.
The hotel was all right, with a bigger room than Ibis in other countries. The reception staff were very helpful and polite, called the Szecheny baths on Easter Monday to check if they were open (they were not), phoned a good taxi company for us to go to the airport on our return and kept our suitcases in their locker after checking out on our last day. The only thing we found a bit strange was there was not a spare pillow and hairdryer in the room. These items are usualy found in all Ibis hotels everywhere. There may be a different policy in Hungary, I guess.

"Great Choice"
We booked last-minute and got a great rate. Everything in the hotel is nice, new, and very clean. Convenient is also the in-house parking garage. The walk to the Danube takes about twenty very worth while minutes. Public transportation leaves just around the corner, but who wants to ride a bus/tram if one has the chance to enjoy Budapest’s grandiose architecture with every step? I am looking forward to my next long weekend in this wonderful city and sensible hotel.

"Nice deal, good hotel and location"
We (my wife and my kid – 7 months old)spent 3 nights at the hotel Ibis Budapest Emke in September 2006. We will come back to the same place if we have the opportunity to visit Budapest again. The hotel and staff are very great, welcome and useful. The room we got was large as we asked for a baby cot before our venue. We got a clean, basic but well equipped room. I mean the minimum required to get some rest and feel comfortable after visiting the city all day. For those who want something nicer a bit posh the Emke Ibis hotel as all Ibis around the world are not the ideal place. But don’t except the same price J.
For our case it was just perfect. Location was great 15-20 min to the centre by walk and the first metro is just located at the corner of the street. Late in the evening we took a taxi to go back and paid equivalent to 3Ł for the journey (5-10min by car !!!. Highly recommended for the price, location and service.
Only one negative point the breakfast is very expensive : 8euros / persons
