"Excellent hotel with very friendly staff"
This place is excellent!
I had stayed in a hotel for a similiar price in the 17th and it was awful. This place is a must for those on a budget. Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent buffet meals and nice bar area.
If I was going back to Paris I would definately stay here again!

"excellent value / great location - ask for a room between floors 2-9"
This was our second trip to the Monmartre and having researched boutique hotels in the area, their reviews were very variable, so we decided to play safe with an Ibis. Yes its simple, much like a UK Travel Lodge / Inn but it was exceptionally clean, well equipped with very helpful, english speaking staff. We arrived in the late evening and check in was smooth and the Receptionist was able to provide us with all the information we needed.
We were there for 3 nights. On our first evening, we were allocated a 1st floor room. For security reasons the windows on this floor are locked and cannot be opened which made the room very stuffy. We requested a room change for nights 2&3 which was very straight forward and we were moved to the 7th floor and at the rear of the hotel. The views were breathtaking. You are directly above the spectacular and leafy Montmartre Cemetery with views right across Montmartre to theSacre Couer.
We would certainly recommend you request a room on one of the higher floors, to the rear of the hotel to enjoy these views - and the opening windows. Our room also had interconnecting doors with next door, so staying with childre or family would be easy.
Breakfast at 7euro's was a continental buffet with ham, cheese, pastries, cereal, breads, fruit, and all hot & cold drinks. Again really good value and a great start to a long day sightseeing.
Its a great base. Montmartre just up the hill, Clichy, Pigalle just down the road and well served by Metro's.
Excellent alround value - our bill for 2 people and 3 nights with breakfast averaged just over £60 per night or around 90euro's.
Remember to get a room above the first floor if you like fine views and freash air.

"The neighbours are quiet!"
I've stayed in this hotel a few times because of it's great location, and above all it is an Ibis! I love this chain because you can always be sure what you are getting yourself into, no matter which one you book around the world.
This hotel is an ideal location. Near Sacre Coeur and in the heart of Montmartre but also within walking distance of the shops down on Boulevard Haussmann (Printemps and Galeries Lafayette)
It's standard Ibis fare - clean rooms, clean bathroom. I found the staff very helpful and the bar and restaurant was not 5 star but perfectly fine for a casual trip to Paris. I especially loved their Buffet dinner in the evenings. For example, you could choose the 17 euro menu which involved 3 courses, but the beauty of it is that it is done in the same way as breakfast - you go up and help yourself and can take as much as you like! Brilliant if they are doing the absolutely delicious 'iles Flottant' dessert!
The location is nice. I felt safe walking around on the time I returned for a solo shopping trip in Paris. Maybe not the ideal spot to walk around alone *very* late at night, but before 9pm is OK.
And as I said, overlooking the Montmartre Cemetary, the neighbours are very quiet. In all seriousness though, the cemetary itself is worth a visit because it is serene and tranquil. There are a few famous names laid to rest there, the names of which escape me now.
